The owner's name is George and you can reach him at support@mcar.us I contacted him back in August last year and he said they had some production issue,s but were looking to get them back on the market It may be that he needs to get so many orders before he can justify a production run.

Bluetooth activation
Trying to install Bluetooth in my 2007 clk550 that is pre-wired.Nothing in the center arm rest console. If I remove the Torx screws can I wire the receiver and then connect the puck.Where can I get the parts? The puck is readily available but how about the wiring and the connector. Thanks for any help

You likely just have the "pre-wiring" option, which means you have TeleAid (now called mBrace) and a $5 piece of wire in the center console. To add the hardware to plug in the Bluetooth puck will run about $1,000 in parts. Your best bet is either (a) replace the head unit with a modern aftermarket unit or (b) find an aftermarket solution like mCar (www.mcar.us), though those are getting more rare.

I just put aftermarket touchscreen on mine. Upgradable too. Bluetooth, navi, reverse camera. Everything I need.

No I don't. I bought everything I wanted and paid some installer. Cost me about $400 for install. Used the the stock speaker inside, new amp, and 2 10" sub. He basically rewired the whole thing. I had him put the wire for the reverse camera and that I installed myself, damn trunk lid is a 2 piece. LOL

I did this exact same Bluetooth upgrade about 2 months ago on my 2007 CLK350 - check with Keith "cellguy85" on ebay - Keith Valentine he has a great "kit" of all MB parts that is WAY less than $1000! I got it for about $500 and the install was very simple. He also has great instructions and phone support! Mine is up and I love the integrated, OEM look and feel!

The last time I contacted George (the guy that owns mCar), he said he was out of stock, and hd a manufacturing issue, but was looking into a new batch. Contact him at support@mcar.us to see if he has any new stock.

I was able to use the TranzIt BLU HF (http://isimple.com/catalog/install/ISFM2351) to get BT streaming through the radio in my 09 CLK550. Sound is great. Only downside is when you turn off the car, the BT turns off so you quickly hear the fuzz from the radio in the sec or 2 from when you turn off the car and when you pull out the key. Also, my tech hid the mic behind the rear view mirror.
My MB BT for answering phone call still works, but this product also works for the phone. I might sell my MB BT due to this duplication.
I tried to install the mcar, but it didnt work bc I didn't have the navigation command.

If you already had the MBZ phone interface, that's why the MCar unit did not work. It emulates the MBZ phone system, and the MOST ring can't have more than one of those.

Yes, straightforward but not trivial. Check here for my "how to" guide: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...ml#post6935273

The easiest solution, by far, to add Bluetooth to a 2011, or earlier MB is to use CoolStream's CarPro Bluetooth adapter.
It attaches to the 30 pin Aux cord in your glove box and you stream your iPhone and even Android phone to it.
You're still able to use your steering wheel controls (limited display w/Android) and it works like a charm!
I wish that I had seen this earlier.
Here are a couple of links to help you...

NOT CERTAIN WHAT IS IN UR SYSTEM NOW....MY '06 SL500 HAD FIBER OPTICS AND I PURCHASED AN AFTERMARKET UNIT FOR $350, TIED IT DIRECTLY TO THE FIBER OPTIC SYSTEM AS IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO AND COULD STREAM MUSIC AND ALL THRU MY PHONE AND THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING. THE DEALERSHIP WANTED $6600 FOR A BRAND NEW ....11 YEAR OLD COMMAND SYSTEM.....COULDN'T BELIEVE THE SERVICE TECH SAID IT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE.
ALSO, ON MY '08 CLK350.....I HAVE A BOVEE BLUETOOTH DEVICE INSTALLED IN THE GLOVEBOX FOR ALL MUSIC AND COMMUNICATION THRU THE STEERING CONTROLS AND DASH....IT WAS $89 BUCKS AND PLUGGED IT IN AND BEGAN LISTENING

Rick,
I have the Harman/Kardon system, MOST (Fiber Optic), no original Bluetooth.
I stumbled across the Coolstream adapter as well as the Bovee adapter a few weeks ago on Amazon; they work similarly, I believe.
I tried the Coolstream and it works very well for me.
I am amazed that there are not more of these low-cost solutions for those of us who like to keep our older MB vehicles running, but wish to update/upgrade and not have to sell our children to pay for it.
That my/your MB dealership wouldn't offer a reasonable solution is beyond me, but then we would have no need for MBWorld, would we?
Cheers,
-Evan

EVAN,
There are more and more systems coming online as the market demands....however, when I was earning much more than I do now, the dealer took care of all of my problems...yes it was expensive, but they gave me a brand new loaner and I never missed a beat or an important appointment. As far as the kids are concerned....they can learn to do the research and read/communicate thru threads like this one and gain a whole new education they would not have in school.
Thanks
RB

Easy Bluetooth Solution
In case anyone is still looking for a bluetooth phone option for their CLK:
I have a 2007 CLK350, and a 1987 560 SL. I bought a Freeway Bluetooth speakerphone from Jabra. It goes on the visor and features bluetooth phone connectivity and voice commands. The sound is clear and I can talk at highway speeds with the top down. I was going to switch it between the two cars, but I'm so happy with it that I got one for each car. It's only $125 CAD (or $90 USD), so way less expensive and you aren't tearing up your wiring. Here's the Canada link, for more info.

Oh, and you can use your car speakers as your phone speakers, and you can stream music from your phone thorugh it to your stereo.

I agree that FM transmitters (such as the Jabra one) are a very easy solution to solve the no Bluetooth issue. My issues with FM transmitters are that they can experience interference from people using similar devices around you (this is a real issue in crowded Southern California), and that the limited frequency range of FM radio for your music (basically, worse sound- a maximum of 15khz on the high end, whereas other solutions will get you to 20khz).
