Just cut my Bumper for Quad Exhaust

2004 CLK500. Used a speedbit Dremel attachment and 60 Grit Coarse Sandpaper to smooth it.. First time ever using a dremel and all in all took about 20 minutes. Resonator+Muffler delete and Tips go on Saturday.
If anyone has any questions on how i did it feel free to ask.
Also if anyone in the New Jersey area needs help doing the same let me know.

Great job! Reminds me of my bumper cuts for my quads.

OP, what's gonna be your setup?

Thanks, i was gonna do a res and muffler delete but after talking with my exhaust guy i will be doing only a muffler delete to the AMG tips this week. If i want it louder i will cut out the resonator at a later time. Ive watched just about every CLK500 exhaust video on youtube its just hard to discern what setups sound like in real life. Start Small, always room to grow. I will add pics when its done.

I also ordered the CF diffuser from ground dynamics (lowest price) and they said it was backordered until september . So i cancelled my order and going to put the money towards wheels

great job on the tips. suggest lowering as the car seems too high especially with a big trunk spoiler like yours. imo, you have to have a bad ***, angry lookin' slammed car to be able to pull that spoiler off nicely. oh and ah...AMG badge and AMG plate holders?

Thanks, im thinking Eibach springs? and my buddy had an extra badge laying around so i threw it on but im taking it off because the car no longer looks symmetrical with it on. He also did an awful job plasti-dipping it too lol

Looks good.... Though I think they are a bit too low - should be less gap between the tips and the bumper IMO. The diffuser should do nothing to close the gap, in case that is what the installer was thinking.

It also looks as if the passenger side tips are too far toward the center of the car. Depending on how the pipes were connected and the hangers, you may be able to adjust this with a couple of flat washers and small clamps. But maybe it just looks that way to me based on the photo angle.

Not being critical..... trying to be helpful...

Check my car for pictures of Eibach springs on the car. Nice spoiler BTW. How is the quality of it and may I ask how much you paid for it? Thanks! And don't forget to post sound clips!!

its your car mate, i just reckon it would look better not to mention cleaner without the bagde.

either eibach or H&R will do the trick. although I wouldnt have experience with eibachs or lowering a CLK for that matter as I kept my 209 on stock height when i had it.

goodluck and happy modding! youre on the right track!

That spoiler looks pretty good for being a rep. Is it CF? Link me pls! Kind of getting bored of my regular amg spoiler

Edit: just saw your other thread about it haha.. Looks good.
