ESP malfunction fault in 2005 CLK320 convertible
ESP fault randomly shows up while driving on the instrument cluster.
After I turn off the car, and restart immediately it may say
ESP Unavailable.
This ESP code generally does not come back immediately, if the car has been turned and sitting for like 1-2 hours and then it may come back again.
Was thinking of replacing the brake switch to see if that is problem but
MB dealer parts cannot find brake switch part but there is switch on the brake booster, which is quite expensive.
What should I be looking for to diagnose this problem.

This could be just a simple case of bad battery, mostly since your car says ESP unavailable right after a fast restart. But the surest way is to connect it to STAR, read out the codes. It could be a faulty speed sensor or steering wheel angle sensor (most likely the latter if your car hasn't been worked on). But i would strongly advise against switching our parts without codes.

Yeah, I got the esp error again. I had the battery tested and the alternator and they both are good.
I have this enginuity diagnostics, and they claim that it will read the Esp Error as long as it displays when diagnosing.
Let's see and will report back

ESP error in 2005 clk320 convertible
Had to take to the shop to read the code and it says Steering angle sensor and they did erased that code. Cost me $90 and they use Autologic.
Well wait and see if the ESP error comes back.
kinda pricey part.
