Code P2005
Hi, have been lurking for a while but don't think I have never posted so here goes, easy on me guys,
I have done a search through the threads and found a good bit of info regarding the tumble flaps and broken plastic bits on the inlet manifold for a M272 engine on this site, much more than other MB sites on this topic, but not the specific I am looking for so hopefully someone will be along with help soon.
I have had the above code spring up on my facelift CLK350 Cab, looking at my code reader it says
P2005 - Diagnosis of tumble flap 'Intake manifold' : Short or open circuit in sensor lines / Mechanical fault of one actuating lever / Sensor faulty, replace sensor.
So on visual inspection I can't see any of the plastic rods broken on the actuators so next step is to check the sensor,
I had the issue last year with the broken actuaters and these where replaced at my local indie with parts from a used I M but that unit only had 60k miles on it, my car and unit currently sitting at 101k
Anyone know were this sensor is located on the inlet manifold and what it looks like, Would I also have to take the inlet manifold out to get to it?
if it is just the sensor I think I could manage to switch it out as long as I didn't have too remove the IM unit,
