500 Elegance exhaust
I'd like to get some V8 sound out, what would be the best options? Nothing loud, but so that it doesn't sound like 1.6 liter Nissan! Does avantgarde have same exhaust than elegance? Anyone using or ever seen lorinser exhaust? How it fits to original rear bumper?

Most of the exhaust mods on the forum have been of the custom variety. There are quite a few. You should be able to do a search and review them. There are 2-3 prefab offerings that I am aware of but not a big fan of.
Generally, people remove the resonators and/or the muffler and/or create a true dual exhaust path and/or delete the secondary cats.

That muffler delete is way too loud for my taste, according to youtube. Dual/quad outlets would be qool too, but not really a "must have".

Any experiences with these?
What about genuine AMG silencers, if bought used, is there a (easy) way to get them on?
EDIT: This is exactly what I'm after, seems like MEC has discontinued this system tough.. Too bad!

I would buy a used AMG muffler for the CLK and have the cutout made from the stock bumper. Then if the sound isn't enough, I'd remove the middle resonator and put a straight pipe in. If that's not enough, then the two secondary cats would go (they sit between the primary cats and the center resonator on a stock exhaust system). However, the last recommendation I would check with local emissions requirements before removing.
If you don't want to change the muffler, you can try the resonator and/or secondary delete with your stock muffler.
