Removing ignition on CLK W209
Hi guys
I'm fitting some parking sensors. For the fronts I'm fitting a can is system is high connects to the ignition so the sensors only turn on when going under 6mph. I've got a high wires I need to connect to but just wondered if anyone knew how I can get it on the wires that go into the ignition block?

You don't need to connect to the ignition switch itself - just to any circuit that is powered when the ignition is on. Just use a voltmeter and check empty fuse potions on the front, rear or cabin fuse panels and you will find one.

Ive already connected the canm8 to the live fromt he cigarette lighter and the negative. However I need to connect to the can high and can low from the ignition barrel so that the front sensors only come on when traveling below 6mph. The cah high and low are in the ignition barrel

There is a retaining ring around the ignition switch. It sits outside the chrome trim ring around the switch. There is a tool used to unscrew it, but you may be able to use some needle nose pliers or a pair of screwdrivers to do the job. The switch comes out from behind the dash panel. Remove the plastic shroud to access it ones the retaining ring is removed.
