Tranny Issue

Hey guys,

So I when my car into reverse, it takes about 3-5 seconds before it engages. If I put any throttle in it just revs and then catches hard when it finally gets into reverse. Going into drive or park is seamless, so I'm kinda lost for ideas.

Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,
TTR

The only simple thing is to make sure that your fluid is full at 80C--failing that you may have one or two bad solenoids on the conductor plate(transmission shop)

i assume its on the 09 clk, i see you have a few cars listed. First i would check fluid level and then see if there are any codes pending

NO LONGER ACTIVE
(assuming it's the CLK350...) Checking the fluid level on your car is a bit more complicated than checking the oil level. There is no dipstick or even a dip tube to insert a dipstick. It uses an overflow pip inside the pan. You have to remove the drain plug on the transmission pan and observe the drip rate ate a given temperature:

In other words, take it to the shop. Us mere mortals would screw this one up. Lol. Great advice from good peeps.
