Purge Valve Replacement

Hi Guys,

I was reading some of the threads but no definite answer for the part number for CLK 500. My car is an 2004. I have to change it, cannot stand the sound, ticks pretty loud when the hood is closed. Makes the car seem ghetto

So I found these part # any difference

A0025401497
A0025407097

And is it a simple job? Any guides? or pretty straight forward unplug and plug?

Thanks in advance cheers.

I don't believe those are the correct part numbers. I find A0004705593.

The other part numbers were for the "changeover valve". The one I posted is for the purge valve. Just to clarify, the purge valve is under the hood on the driver's side, just ahead of the ESP module. It attaches to a metal bracket with a rubber isolater:

I can confirm this part number. They call this "vapor canister purge solenoid".

I did research on this last year and since the ticking noise was not too bad, I decided against replacing it.

The ticking noise is coming from the driver side under the hood

So I am guessing I need "vapor canister purge solenoid" part# for CLK500 A0004705593?

^^+1 with Rodney^^,,

you can put any MB purge valve, don't have to stick with your specifically model,,

99% MB purges are the same..!

You can use the one from "W202/W208/W210/W203/W204/W209/W211/W212/W220/W221",,

all these purges sharing the same Electric plug, with same (2) small hoses dia..
