CLK 240 Avantgarde Cabrio (W209)
Hello Everyone! Quick Question
Hi Everyone,
Bought my CLK 240 Avanteguard this weekend for a weekend toy!. A few years old but all in all in good nic! no malfunctions coming up thank god!
Quick question though, the guy told me the car had a tow bar installed when be bought it and the parking sensors were disconnected before he bought it. The tow bar is now off, How do I reconnect them? The screen lights up when I turn the switch on but nothing happens when you walk in front or behind the car?. Where would i start to look into this?
Thanks in advance.

I can see them in photo. Not sure how the factory ones are supposed to work I guess, but is the car in park when you are walking near the bumper? What happens when the car is in reverse and you back up towards another car or wall? I can see why he would disconnect them since if he was towing they would activate whenever he put the car in reverse. But we cannot know how to reconnect them because we do not know what he did to disconnect them. Did you ask what he did? He may have cut all the wires for all we know.

sensors are on the bumper strip.
like Yidney said, they wont work when car is on "P". if previous owner "disconnected" it, ask him how he did it. theres is an on/off button on the panel.
