NO LONGER ACTIVE
When I replaced mine, they looked like that, too! AS for price, I sopped around. I found the best deal on Lemfoerders from partsgeek.com, with their coupon (sign up for their email list, you'll get $15 off orders over $200 or something similar). YMMV.

Is replacement of all 4 control arms a reasonable DIY job? Any special tools? No hydraulic press needed?

A couple of my bushing leaked their fluid a while ago and I haven't replced them yet, but I have noticed the ride quality has gotten much worse.

^^ wow was that a year ago already?
I've had no issues with the replacement control arms since I replaced them. I've done 3 track days since.

2009 CLK550 Coupe
Just replaced the tranny mount and I'm very surprised at how much smoother the car feels. It was so easy to replace and now when I cold start the car there is hardly any vibration. The old one was really worn out. Saved 100's of dollars by doing this myself.

In the end, I paid my indy to install them after I bought the correct Lemforder arms.

I paid $330 for the 4 arms and another $330 to install.

Unfortunately I then needed an alignment as I must have had it previously aligned with a bad bushing. With the new arms on, the steering wheel sat at 1030 instead of 1200 and the ESP system was freaking out

Did the $330 include the alignment? That's not bad.
