Battery

About 1 month ago I posted that 2 unrelated codes popped up 2004 and 0025. It was suggested that a weak battery could be the cause . I charged the battery and the codes dropped off in a few start / stop cycles. Yesterday after a month of daily use the same 2 codes popped up. I checked the battery and got the following readings after sitting overnight in 70 degree garage, voltage 12.6 percent charge 85 . It is a Mercedes battery with a date of 3/14. Any thoughts or advice will be appreciated. The car continues to drive perfectly.

First, you bought an old battery?

Second, your voltages are a bit low. Do you dive a lot of short distances?

Yeah, sounds like the battery is getting weak. Either put it on a charger once a week, or take a 30 minute drive once a week. These cars seem to be sensitive to weak batteries/charging systems.

Or don't risk it and buy a new battery.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
The last genuine MBZ battery I had crapped out after two years. They used to be better than that. I've switched to using the Advance Auto Platinum AGM - I've been very happy with them.

That is what I use on my motorcycles as well. Seems quality in a world of crappy batteries lately.
