2007 clk350 convertible

I'm having an issue when I go over a pothole/bump (as much as i try to avoid them its impossible in NYC) The convertible top starts to think that its in operation. and it wont go away until I open and close the top. Any advise on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Sounds like a bad or loose switch or wire that tells the car the top is closed.
