Radiator Fan and AC stopped working

Hi all,

I was driving my car in the city today and because it was a hot day (37 degree Celcius) I put the AC on.

The AC was working perfectly and all of a sudden stopped working, I noticed on the dashboard "coolant low, visit dealer" and the engine temperature was around 100/110 degree Celcius.

I stopped the car and refilled with coolant but the car won't cool down... It still shows 95/110 degree it goes up and down but never below 95 and never above 110.

The radiator fan doesnt spin and the AC doesnt work

Please help me!

Stat seems unlikely IMO....if it was jammed closed it would boil over....if it had failed open it would take an age to warm up and run cool (mine did this!). Also I don't think the stat would affect the AC afaik. Perhaps the coolant temp sensor sending wrong info......just an idea and this would affect fan operation and therefore cause the motor to run hotter. I has this on another car and it DID affect the AC operation too. To be honest I'm not sure If this would affect a CLK in the same way.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your contribution!
Turned out that the Fan itself died and/or something that is included in the Fan.

I luckily found a used part near my town and now it all work well inclusing AC!!!

Thanks again for your prompt replies I really appreciate that!!

Well at least I was not a mile away with faulty fan operation! Lol. Glad you got it sorted!
