collant type and how to check level

Hello everyone I want to flush my coolant is there a compatible brand other than Mercedes coolant ? also how do I check the level of coolant ? Thank you

Xerex G-05 is compatible, acceptable, and usually readily available. The proper coolant level is check in the overflow tank. It should be right at the top of the "clear" section, where it meed the black top section. The system is self-purging, so after a drain, you may need to top it off once or twice after driving.

is it 7 qt for total flush if I am flushing the entire system not just radiator ? I googled it and I keep getting different numbers.
