Wheel wobble when braking.
Hi guys,
I've had this problem for a while. The wheels wobble/vibrate when braking from a speed over 60kmh. Braking from anything under 60kmh is fine.
Brake discs are fairly new and can't seem to see any loose bushing(stabilisers, wishbones etc. )
Could it be an off-centre hub?

Not sure what you mean by off-center hub. But it is weird that it only happens above 60. Typically warped rotors can be felt at most any reasonable speed. I assume it appears to be limited to the front? If it were me, I might start by taking a dial gauge - they are cheap at Harbor freight, screw it to the end of a piece of small wood, clamp that to something solid - like a floor jack - and measure the lateral run out of the front discs while rotating them slowly, taking care not to expert side pressure to throw off the measurements - the gauge is sensitive since it ,measures to 1/1000". Or you can remove the disks and take them somewhere, but I'm a DIY guy. Regarding loose suspension components, how did you test that, and how many miles do you have? You mentioned wishbones, and since your car has none, I'm wondering how careful your inspection was. On thing I'd check is worn tie rod ends. Then do a more thorough inspection of all bushing and ball joints. Or have it done. In fact, I'd do all that before measuring the disc runout.

My CLK had brand new, but warped front disks when I test drove it. Exactly the same symptoms. You don't feel the warp at slow speeds because what you feel is the calipers being pushed back and forth. Elso, at slow speeds the pistons can move a bit to hide the warp. The faster you go, the more force is needed for the calipers to move. Seller replaced the disks and now if brakes perfectly.

I had this problem very noticeable on the motorway, I think is was corrected when I had new tyres and balancing done, I recently replace one of my front calipers that was totally seized, that was not helping.

I had this issue which got progressively worse, turned out it was two pretty much new Continental tires on the front with broken belts. The very high volume tire shop I took the car two said they see it from time to time with Conti's. Two new Pilot Sports fixed the issue.
