Halogen headlight replacement?
I just noticed that the low beam reflectors on my 2009 CLK350 are bubbled up near the bulbs. I am not sure whether this is heat damage or water damage, but considering the otherwise pristine condition of the car I suspect the former. Its a real shame because the lenses are completely clear.
At some point in time I would like to fix the problem. I guess the only option is complete replacement of the entire headlight assembly, which is quite expensive.
Is there some other option?
If I go for complete replacement, where's a good place to purchase them. The eBay sellers seem to be grossly overpricing them.

Interested in responses.
I have some slight corrosion in the corners of my headlights. It isn't particularly noticeable. However I know that in time it will become so. Replacements are ridiculous in cost. I'd be tempted to retrofit a complete aftermarket HID unit as some members here have done if I had to replace them.
I don't think it uncommon, both my CLK headlights have had corrosion to some degree. The first was worse than my present, however it were in a place where it didn't affect the light output pattern.

Instead of replacing them with OEM units, why not go with projector lens units? With projectors, you can install an aftermarket HID kit and get decent lighting. I had the Depo quad-projector headlights (sold by "fishcake") on mine and put HID kits in all four bulbs:
