FCP Euro Project CLK550
I'm very excited to share with you some of the projects that we are working on in 2017 for the Mercedes brand. For starters we are building a W204 race car which you find out more about at this link
We also have a few posts about the racecar on our blog here
https://www.fcpeuro.com/blog/category/c300-race-car
In addition, I picked up a CLK550 as a project car that we are doing a full YouTube video series on. I chose the CLK platform because I've always believed it was a true "drivers car" and I've always preferred the sportier models in the Mercedes line-up. This particular car is an Obsidian Black 2007 model with 62,000 miles. I found the car in New York City, very rough around the edges and it will require a ton of work to bring it back to life. I will continue to update this thread with the progress of our series as well links to all of the new product kits we are creating around this platform.
The car's first day in CT after the trip from NYC
Pulling the wheels off to see the real story under the skin, our 204 racecar in the back!!
Finding 3 cone seat lugs on the car instead of a radius seat ...
Interior after removing 60,000 miles of gunk, she cleaned up nicely
My colleague Mike filming our brake rotor upgrade video. 2-piece Brembo AMG fronts and silver arrow rears
I've got tons of content lined up so stay tuned, subscribe to our YouTube channel if you haven't already and if there is something you'd like to see please let me know. I hope you guys enjoy.

The hardest part was finding a supplier that buys Brembo directly so that I wouldn't have to buy the pricey dealer part, everything else is bolt on. The part number is 09925433 and the Mercedes OE number is 1714210112. I am using them with the CLK550 calipers and pads. In the rear I am using the silver arrow SL500 discs primarily for looks as they are cross drilled from the factory. Throwing a replacement belt buckle at it today to get rid of the SRS light.

That is correct, keep in mind the stock CLK550 caliper is not a monoblock like the AMG caliper, it is a modular multipiston and designed to support a 30mm rotor against a 16mm thick pad. That pad thickness actually exceeds the factory CLK55 pad which I believe is 15.4mm thick.

I believe that there are two types of AMG front calipers: before 2006 - 4 piston, and after 2006 - 6 piston.
4 piston calipers should be the same as on clk550, some of clk500 and c32/55. And they go with 345x30 mm rotors (but in real brake pads covers only 340mm diameter so 340mm rotors is totally fine here).
6 piston calipers - slk55/clk55 go with 340x32mm two piece rotors.
So in I understand correct you installed 340x32mm rotors from late clk55/slk55 with original clk550/c32/c55 4 piston calipers and original pads?
