You guys have me rethinking this Smart Car thing completely.
It seems the little car is a bit short on torque at low revs, but no bother, I will just tell the wife to dial up 9k on the rev counter before dumping the clutch.

I slowed down as I went by him and sat behind him a bit to take the pic. After I did and pulled up next to him, I then pulled away and watched him as he continued to slow way down as not to pass me.

Pretty much spot on. Wasn't interested in the CLS; he was trying to show off to impress me. The E320 diesel wasn't doing anything besides posing. I was just feeling a bit sarcastic when I posted.
I don't understand why people do this. It's like fake Rolexes. The majority of the people who will look at or care if you have a real Rolex/AMG are other owners and they can instantly tell it's fake.
i truly feel a lot of these are done at the dealer. Ive seen them personally at dealerships and when I see an old lady driving an s550 "AMG" i really doubt she went and bought the amg badge and threw it on. Now some of them that are obviously added by the owner are ridiculous

Totally agree with this comment. Especially dealers in the used market. They likely just tell some story about sports packaging (S Line) and who would question them. "They're a dealer, they must know what they're talking about"
This new AMG plan by Merc isn't going to help this any and you'll never be able to explain to these guys why their AMG isn't a true AMG.
But when that badge is crooked, too high/low, in the wrong place, chances are you've got a poser.
