Not really a poser entry, but this is probably the most active/fun loving thread. Thought you might appreciate some dirt track madness from this year's Indy 500 vacation:

Here's an interesting question to spark debate: would you guys consider my debadged 430 an "AMG poser"?
...and yes the exhaust is true dual... not just a set of useless fake C63 tips

It's only considered a poser if you are rocking an AMG badge with a non AMG car. You are debadged. Love your 430. I follow you on IG.

2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG
Saw a black C300 with black wheels, dark tints, and an AMG badge on I-285 here in Atlanta today. In typical poser fashion they came barreling onto the highway and accelerated close to 100mph while weaving around traffic to get into the fast lane. I could have easily passed his *** but I needed to take the next exit and no poser like that is worth my time or gas. He probably would have gotten the wrong message anyway and thought to himself "oh cool another cool AMG like mine! He wants to race!" (Does ricer flyby). "I'm so cool..."

This one is for real!!!
Just curious how serious the situation is Back in April I suggested an ECU Tune for AMGs for additional gains. So this past Monday I received a call from poser asking why wouldn't anybody sell him an ECU Tune for his S55 AMG I responded WOW, that's gotta be a clue? Think about itnot a single light bulb came on, just an error msg

I do know for a fact that all M113 engines are equipped with an AMG modified two-stage intake manifold so technically some of these offenders arent really “posing” per se. Theres an AMG sticker on the manifold right behind the air pump, you can spot it when you take off the front engine cover.
Now, will I head on over to ebay and paypal some bloke thats selling the badge? Nope, I cant ever do that.

I own a 2009 CLK550 which makes more power than the CLK55 AMG if you parked both of em together you wont tell them apart besides the badging on the trunk was going to put an AMG badge on the trunk but kinda wanted her as she was.

That is the worst justification I've ever heard for calling a car an AMG. So, certain cars have AMG sports packages where they ACTUALLY have AMG on the wheels or on the window sticker. Still does not make it an AMG, and it's still posing. No AMG engine == not an AMG.

1999 SL500 Sport, 2002 E430 4Matic, 2005 E320 4Matic, 2011 Chevy Silverado
'99 SL500 Sport with "V8 AMG" on deck lid.
I recently purchased this vehicle with 49,xxx miles on it from the 3rd owner. When considering the SL I queried him about the "V8" badge. He stated it was on the car when he purchased it in 2005. I also queried parts and service guys at a local MB dealership and they were positive that some SL500 Sports came from the factory with various AMG components. It's obvious mine has the wheels and ground effects.
I was given a printout that stated mine had code 772 "AMG styling package-front spoiler, side skirt", code 774 "Shell modification for AMG wheels", code 794 "AMG-wheels 7.5 x 17 squeeze in depth 37 VA 225/45, and code 809 "AEJ/06/1/MX".
Was someone posing by adding the V8 AMG badge on a car that has a factory V8, AMG styling cues and body modifications?
