Thats Dan Neil. Pulitzer Prize winning Dan Neil. His articles are typically well worth reading.

Hi Marcus...

I did not know about the Pulitzer... Thanks.

I get the WSJ at home and I always read his reviews. He pretty much hits it dead on.

In this one on the CL I really love the way he describes the sensation of the acceleration of the CL-AMG. I have a W211 E55 and I have to second Dan's thoughts on the way the power is delivered.

Excellent review. The new CL is a big girl, but AMG put a helluva lot of hustle into her.

Yes its a big old bird - a friend has a CL55amg its big and powerful but on narrow UK roads I feel he can't really deploy all that supercharged power - my CLK just feels a little more agile

This is a good one too. It's Clarkson on the CLK Black. Here's a snippet, "Initially, you don't drive this car: you just cling on for dear life."

I couldn't get permission for an ongoing reprint from the Sunday Times, so I have it in a hidden section of my website.

...The numbers for the Performance Package engine are even more galactic: 563 hp and 664 pound-feet of torque...
I wonder if AMG also has a MILLENNIUM FALCON (star wars ) package if i want something beyond outter galactic performance? LOL!

Just when I thought the current CL63 was the isht, they freshen the front end and give it 530+ HP. Wow. Only $160K away!
