2005 CLK55 cab rotor suggestions?

I'm pretty sure I need new rotors soon and was doing some research. I really dont' drive the car THAT hard where I need $1200 OEM rotors. Anyone know of any good aftermarket replacements that won't set me back a fortune?

my brakes are 2 piece, correct? Any way to just buy the rotor and switch the hat over?

Try R1concepts.com. I just put new front (drilled) rotors and pads on my W209 today from them. They sold them to me around $350.00 shipped. Seemed to be very good product and they stop the car just as good as the OEM ONES. They are in CA.

Hmmmm there is no way that rotors run that much money, you dont drive an S65 and its only one of the most important components on your car....

Dealer Price Core Price Savings Final Price
$670.00 N/A $187.60 $482.40

that's from parts.com, so it'll be a tad over $1k for both after shipping + tax.

R1 carries the 340mm (late) AMG rotors? I know they carry the early 335mm rotors, but I don't see a listing for 2005 and later CLK55. Or you going to retrofit the early rotors with the later 6-piston calipers?

Frozen Rotors

I put Frozen Rotors on mine - good discs, have use them on other cars in the past. Autohausaz has OEM rotors for my car at about $235 ea - don't know if they fit your vehicle or not, but Frozen Rotors sells one piece units for 150 each, and if you are running 6 piston calipers, you are in for a ride - about 1500 bucks a pair -

Still cheaper than Brembo
