hose detached from coolant tank... leaking coolant

hey guys,

got a 'coolant check level' msg from my car the other day, popped the hood and found this..

basically, the hose detached from the coolant tank and took part of the plastic 'spigot' piece with it. i'm going to order a new coolant tank, replace it, and refill the coolant. my best theory is that the coolant level was low and pressure built up in the hose...

im planning to pull out the broken piece from the hose and and re-use the existing hose. if anyone has any insight or im missing something here, please do input. thanks!
