How to drop fuel tank?? CLK55 2001

I have a CLK55 2001, I have searched the forum and the internet on how to remove my fuel tank. I need to get my tank cleaned. I have replaced my fuel filter 2x. the throttle lag and hard start keeps comming back after i replace it. I got gas in another state and think i got a bad tank of gas. replaced the filter and the car ran great. 2 weeks later the problems are comming back. want to drop the tank get it cleaned and replace the filter again.

Hopfully somone has a writeup on how to remove the fuel tank.

Yeah, it looks like you have to remove the complete rear axle...
