06 CLK55 AMG code P0715 stuck in First UGH

2006 CLK55 AMG with 50,000 miles.

A few weeks ago I was driving the wifes car and it stuck in 4th gear. I pulled over, turned the car off, started it back up and it was fine no issue since.

Today it is stuck in 1st. The code is P0715 and from searches it appears to be the conductor plate. However, the car is an 06 55 AMG.

My question is, does the below post cover newer cars and does my car have the 722.6?

Any input is appreciated as I am planning the surgery for this weekend.

Your car has a 722.6. My car, which also has a 722.6 (although a different variation) had a P0715 three years ago. It was $850 or so at the dealer. They did the plate and the updated wiring harness o-ring. Similar to the thread you mentioned, but they did not replace a pressure regulator spring (or valve body). The part number for your plate will be different, but every one I've seen has had the same list price - currently $250. Also, your torque converter doesn't have a drain plug so it'll probably hold 5 quarts of ATF.

My 722.6 mega-dollar transmission
