Front Bumpers

I am looking to getting a new front bumper. Heres the #1 front bumper that I am looking at getting in the new few weeks:

There's this one as well without the side vents, I think its the W209 style. You guys think a W209 lip would work on this front bumper??

I also saw this front bumper in the picture (link is for the lip) but I cant seem to find it for sell???

i think this is for CLK320 front lip not for 430/55

Unless your bumper is damaged I would stick with the AMG OEM

The second one looks like the facelifted 209 style, so, if a CF lip did fit it, it would be the 06+ style. I have seen very, very few aftermarket bumper covers that fit the 208's very well - most have fitment issues and some nasty gaps.

x2.....be sure to line up a good FABRICATOR not a body man for the job as most body shops will not touch it.

luckily my stock bumper was basically trash anyway but to get the best fit my fabricator cut off the top/headlight section of the bumper and used it as a pattern to cut and remold the fiberglass.

until this happened i had no idea that fiberglass can be reshaped if heated...so i at least learned something in exchange for the $$$ i spent.

Interesting, so this bumper would turn out to be a NIGHTMARE to get it to fit. Sounds like a challenge

Wonder if there are any aftermart aerodynamic front bumpers that are a fit????

i cant comment if your particular bumper would be a nightmare or not but on average they are. i like the one you chose and almost got it...took me a while to decide between the one i have and the one u chose.

it might fit like a glove but i would put the farm on it.

Ash makes the best looking W208 bumpers I’ve seen. He does it in his spare time and built the one in the photos for Jimmy Williams. Ash's screen name is VIPclk320. The bumper is a factory W208 upper with a custom molded in lower section. It was shipped from So Cal to Japan and fit perfectly on the first attempt. I can’t see where the plastic welds are. thanks marcusF, yes i make these as a hobby. the ones in the pictures from the links above are the VIS bumper that were compied off of my bumper, the owners of vis are good friends of mine and they tried making a mold but it was just a poor excuse for a mercedes bumper, they tested it on my car and it was so bad that the scrapped the project and destroed the mold. lol i use all oem parts so fitment is perfect without even having to have the car there to check. in my opinion if it doesnt look and fit like it came from the factory like that its crap.

I don't know that it wouldn't work but a W208 is three inches narrower than a W210 and the headlamps are more steeply raked.

w210 is completly a different structre, no where near the clk. hope that helps.

Do not get the VIS.
I got that c63 bumper from VIS. Fitment is terrible. The gap between the grill and bumper are HORRENDOUS.

Been a nightmare

Yes but what is the cost for your custom bumper? I love the look and I have the same silver CLK55 as the one pictured.

Ash does make great looking bumpers. No fitment problems when you mold to a w208 bumper!

This is one of my favorites...it's made by Prior. I haven't seen anyone with it, nor do I know about quality/fitment. But attached is a photoshop in black too.
