Random Misfire

Whats up guys just wanted to share my lil experience ive been having and the solution.(if it helps anybody)
So ive been having a random misfire. The only time i can feel it was when i pressed the gas from a complete stop. Seems like it would run great but randomly other times would misfire or even die completely. It would always start back up.Took it to my mechanic to see if a scan would help.It didnt show any codes. He recommended i replace my plugs and wires and that "could be the problem".I order the plugs/ wires, but on thanksgiving night it started running rough and threw a cel.The code ended up being the mass air meter, so we replaced it.I drove around for about an hour to see if I felt the misfire.I felt it twice over the course of an hour or so.The next day i replaced the plugs and wires and when the mechanic fired back up the car it kept dying after a min or so and seemed to be idling wierd. We couldnt really figure it out. After dying 3 or 4 times in a row it threw another cel.Went to my other mechanic who has mercedes softare so he can rescan it, ends up being the mass air meter again!1 day old!Any way
ive heard people saying that alot of these mass air meters are defective right out the box.And I think unfortunately people might be right. Thanks guys

Yup gotta love our MAF's. Happen to me 3 times. Keep going until you get a good one, but I figured out the solution when I had $500 into them... buy one with a life time warrenty

I have noticed these things are weak as hell. You bump them and they go bad. You have to handle them like a infant. Any fast movmement or bump will make them go bad. Blow on them or get a spec of dirt and bye bye MAF.

Are you getting an OEM Bosch MAF or a generic from China.

went with oem, I cant get myself to buy anything but oem parts for this car.

So when I went back to get the 2nd ass air meter installed it still kept dying and would not stay running. They noted that one of my vacuum lines on the driverside was very brittle and was actually taped with electrical tape, lol, gotta love people.I got the car back today but havent had much of a chance to drive it to see if the problem is still there(god i hope not). But it did seem to be a little smoother when it comes to an idle when I make a complete stop.Ill keep you guys posted.
