OK , I Broke it !

Last week somebody left Diesel fuel on the track from the 1/8 th mile to the Turn off. I got into the spill and the wheels broke loose & the car started to slide to the right. The active handling really works. It help me get the car back under control. This was the first time I ever tried it , I always was using the dyno mode up to this run , I tried sport mode with the ESP switch on just to see if I could improve the time.. Here is the U-tube , many thanks to Urbamorm

Well This week I went back at it again. This time there was a 2-1/2 hr wait for a track clean up. I was close to the end in a long line of cars . Needless to say Water ended up on the track , At the 60 ' mark the tires broke loose . Then re-hooked . BANG broke the C/V joint . It was a long night & A ride home on the Flat bed. Picture are coming .

Glad you are OK!
I've seen cars go into the wall at the track, and it's not pretty..... especially in something built from unobtainium

Glad it wasn't a total disaster and that your okay!

I'm curious on how much ET did you lose by keeping the ESP on. I always fear running on Dyno Mode since you don't have the safety nets (ESP, ABS, Traction Control). I'll sacrifice a tenth or two for peace of mind.

Oh , I Broke it

I don't no yet, I have not completed a full pass with out an issue. I believe that I will not loose any speed or increase my ETs. Andy @ Modern Hp, set up the TCU to remove the torque limiters & raise the shift point rpm ,in Sport mode with the ESP switch activated Only . All is normal in Comfort mode & Sport mode when driving the streets & Hwy.
I got the old broken half shaft assy out in 2 hrs. new one on the way

Snapped a few of them in my time back home, a Chevy part is far cheaper than a MB one I imagine though!
