thanks! means a lot!!!

here is the latest of goodies that arrived... gonna be hell to install it though... at least I have had some practice...

Also found a black face plate to complete the look... I think its gonna look awesome with the red needles

Need to change out my face plate anyway as it is in miles... anyone keen for a 160MPH faceplate from an AMG? its no good to me, so if someone will pay for shipping (which would be cheap as) you can have it... (actually have a silver aluminum frame surround as spare, so for a friends price i can send that too if you wanna convert to or complete the avantgarde look...)

hey mate

been following your tuning thread.
you've come a long way to mod your car.

When do you plan to change the speedo faceplate ?

Do a writing/picture thread when you remove/install the new faceplate.

Are you going to use tweezers to lift and remove faceplate?
Remember to have clean hands and only touching sides of the faceplate.
Don't want any smudge or fingerprints showing!

I'm also in the modding process for my C43, changing cluster faceplate from a 280km/h dial to an AMG 300 dial faceplate.

Good luck

can you just change that plate? usually the numbers change position? I'm not even touching a 320km/h plate for my clk as i would have the weirdest reading haha.... how does that work on yours?

It might actually be a while before I do mine as it seems like im going to be flatout in the next forseeable future...

i was thinking of doing my swap in Spring when I take my car out from her beauty sleep.

i was told it's only adhesive tape on backside just to remove the faceplate very carefully.

SOOOOOOOOO... reluctantly I have to tell everyone that I sold my CLK.... It has been gone for a few weeks actually and I'm missing her a little bit... I am using new benz's everyday for my work so im still iin the loop of course... for fun I picked up a 2007 Volkswagen golf R32 which is honestly the most fun you can have in a car... It really is like a go-kart and still does 0-100 km/h in 5.9sec so its not slow... and its practical for the mrs....

BTW the reason I sold it is because I got an offer I could not refuse... seriously, I could NOT refuse this.... I took the cf front and trunk lip off as the new owner wasn't interested in those...

Pls don't hate!!

Sad to hear, but now you have an excuse to buy the CLK 63 black!

Also where did you find that CF trip faceplate?

Sitting here wondering what the offer would have to be to take the key out of my grip.

You must have made out big!

Old post but lovely car. Perhaps I should follow a few of your mods done to my car as well and see if I can fetch me self a pretty penny in later years to come.

I saw his CLK for sale at a dealer. Bit of a shame really as it was a very nice car but has changed hands a few times by the look of it. I bought my KW coilovers from him. I can definitely recommend against the front lip, these cars are low enough as it is.
