Buying a CLK63 Cab

So I appreciate all your feedback on my other threads. I have it down to three cars all with under 45k/mi. Prices are reasonable and I have gone the extra step of pulling car faxes on them based off the input you have all given me. The challenge I am running into now is interpreting the carfax repair report into usable intel. Because of my lack of familiarity with the brand and model I can't determine what is a "repeat" issue/ problematic, or normal/ expected maintenance (for this engine, trans, model, etc).

Basically, I need an interpreter. I am ready to pull the trigger so you guys point me down the right path- what info do you need, how do I get it to you, etc.

Thank you in advance...

CF

Carfax is very easy to understand and most dealers provide a free copy. None the less, I work for a luxury car dealership and have access to Carfax and Autocheck. Give me the VIN# to the car/cars you are looking at and I'll be more than happy to look it over for you.

Thanks Tasho. I am currently traveling for business but will PM the info to you at first chance. My question would be on one vehicle that has multiple repairs versus one that has very limited repairs. You could take it multiple ways: bad car that has numerous issues, good car with protective owner who gets things done proactively, numerous minor issues that were fixed but the real culprit is something major- my concern, bad owner who just doesn't take care of it (probably not the case).

It will be obvious to you once you see what I referencing. I hope that makes more sense and I appreciate your help.

Thanks,

CF

This vehicles require a lot of maintenance, therefor, a detailed and extensive service report is always a good thing and adds value to the car IMO.

PM'd back.

Tasho- thanks for the advice. I missed one from earlier. I agree with your comment and will definitely have a PPI before money changes hands. Unfortunately I can only go check on one maybe two vehicles. Pm sent
