W208 Final Drive Carrier
Hey Guys/Gals,
I recently acquired A CLK430 Differential 40k miles along with numerous Black Birdseye trim.
I am having a hard time locating a parts diagram of compatible LSD (limited slip differential) carrier parts. I would like to build my own out of the newly acquired Final Drive.
There is a lot of talk about Qualife but I like to use off the shelf OEM parts if possible. I always set up my 9" fords with a 4 spider carrier pre- loadable spring and block depending on tourqe unlock pressure desired. (all from Ford).
Frankland Quick change for the circle track cars but they are too damn large and heavy for the street, not to mention price and loud for a daily driver.
Any links or illustration with a pn list for the benz carrier would be a blessing.
Why leave one rubber souvenir when you can leave two in less time.
Any Thoughts?
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving Folks,
Gator

I know my AMG doesn't have LSD, but it always puts down two black lines for some reason... My 430 never did. What about CLK Black Series parts? I know they'll be hideously expensive but they would fit the OEM need.

Thanks for the input fella's
I know where a 16v cosworth 190 is sitting and if my memory serves me correctly we are 210 mm and the 190 was a 185 mm but the internals are adaptable using the proper side gear and outer bearings. Hmmmm. I will get the vin from him and search for some #s.
The car ran 15 years ago but now who knows.
Monyone is on my list for help as well, Just settling in from work after a cold and rainy vacation. But needed the rest.
Black series Assembly might be rare and pricey as well but some part numbers from the carrier might change all that.
Leaving 2 rubber tracks with a conventional differential is likely anti skid control on early models or ESP helping to guide the car. (theory)
Thanks and cheers, Gator

its a stock 210mm complete diff , i believe a 2.89 gear , quaife, new bearings, seals painted and synthetic fluid.
210mm if referring to the ring gear diameter .
i made a bushing conversion kit so the bigger 215mm housing bolts in as well.
