I understand but I think you might be worried about nothing, there's plenty of instruction on "dyno mode" which is the same thing anyway...not to mention you already told us how it works. You just haven't shared specific details. I am no lawyer though.

Just create a disclaimer if you feel uncomfortable sharing. Also you wouldn't be held liable. If someone did something stupid, it would be considered negligence. My question is did the brake lamps stay lit during testing?

You all make good points! Looks like I'll go ahead with it then. Yes, the brake lights do stay functioning minus the small window you are interrupting the circuit. So, you lose the lights for, at the most, 2 seconds, then they work again. Basically while you are holding the button to interrupt the circuit.

While Tire Spin isn't the goal here, the car also has awesome throttle response on the low-end. So, I'm about to go to Radio Shack for a momentary-latching 12v switch and put it inline thus disabling the brake light switch while pushing the brakes, tripping the failure of the ABS / ESP / BAS systems which is basically "Dyno Mode" on the newer models. I will go take a video of tire spin without tripping those systems to shut off and just turning the ESP off with the switch, then I'll post a video of tire spin with the systems completely off.

Thanks,
Scott
That's odd, when I disable my ESP via the switch I am able to spin the tires with ease. Seems like mine came buit in with this switch

I can understand where he is coming from,

With a determined idea in the electronics world of defense I came up with some ideas that could have put me in the cross hairs of someones scope. I should be locked up with some of Americas mad scientists some days.

One has to know when to put on the brakes for survival or go for it.

Age and Wisdom come together when required. I am all about public safety and would love to try this in a safe manner near tire changing day.

Smoke roosting photos and videos are a lot of fun to look at as long as you don't try to damage your car or anything else for that matter.

He could make a digitally sighned disclaimer and force a signature in a PM here in the forum. Off Road use only signature should clear him of all Laws broken in the street and the track.

All the Best, Gator

Damn, over 20 years has gone by and it's still confirmed that the W208 cannot fully have traction disabled.
How are these owners able to burn out??? I don't think they know any trick. LOL
