Shout out to VIPclk (Ash)
Update to all that know Ash. As some know he was in a bad accident two weeks ago when an old lady decided to veer into traffic and slammed into his car.
Went to visit Ash yesterday after work and it was just heartbreaking to see his car all torn up like that after all the late nights and crazy hours / money put into it. The car is a goner, its bent to hell, really sad to see it like that. Ash is doing better, although he is pretty beat-up, limping, slurred speech, back pain. If your reading this hope you get better soon and cant wait to see what you do next. From everyone here, wishing you full and speedy recovery.

Hey Ash, just sent you a PM on the solenoids - didn't realize you were banged up. Hope you heal soon! It's a shame cars don't recover as well as people... glad to hear you're OK.

Ash has been an asset to the MB community. I hope he comes back in full force. At least he was driving a safe car!

Life is short and just when we get a nice peak something bizarre happens that changes it.
No one is immune.
Ash is one of best innovators and possesses a talent for engineering creativity. Only hoping for ASH a strong recovery and keep sharing your talent to the forum. Cars are replaceable. Life is short.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words. having my MB family here makes it much easier to get back up, dust myself off and move again. The road to physical recovery is going to be long but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I miss my car dearly and I can genuinely say that a part of me died in my CLK the day after Christmas when the accident happened. no other car will replace my beloved CLK. many say cars don't have souls but I am one that says they do. I gave my CLK all I had emotionally, mentally, financially, creatively and physically and at the end my CLK gave me all the strength and power that it had and saved my life! My CLK didn't make it back home but it stood there like a wall of steal and made sure that I do, and sent me back to my wife and daughter and for that I am forever thankful. I know many will disagree with what I am about to say but it takes a true car lover to understand which I am sure many will. My CLK was absolutely destroyed and has 0 chance of ever being repaired and being back on the road and for that I am sad because I can never drive it again and thankful because no one will ever be able to repair it and drive it and that's the best outcome I could have asked for under these circumstances. because after all the time, money and years I put into that car I wouldn't feel right seeing anyone else other than me, my wife or my kids driving it. I gave my CLK all I had and she returned the favor 10 folds and sent me back to my family, I cant possibly ask for more. That car was full of soul and it will always be with me. Rest in peace VIPCLK320/55, I will miss you my friend.
