AMG after market warranty

I just purchased a clk63 and am thinking about an extended warranty. I know there is a sub-forum for this but I want to get feedback specifically just from AMG owners since we are driving a different beast!

I called my local dealer (bought the car out of state) and they said they would inspect the vehicle $150.00 then offer a warranty for 10K!

So, I looked into the aftermarket warranty world. I found a company called Carchex and AA Auto Protection. rated well on a after market warranty rating site: http://extended-car-warranty-service...enreviews.com/

I have 25k miles, and here is what I was quoted:
Carchex: 3500 for 3y/30k.
AA 4425 3y/75k.

I feel that is a bit more than I want to pay, but I can imagine if I had that dreaded "headbolt" issue or some other drivetrain issue it would way exceed that.

What are your thoughts on extended warranty for the 63, and how is the frequency of repair for you longer term owners.

Thanks for any info.

I just bought my CLK 63 and it has 32K. It has had every service plus extra stuff done at the Benz dealer, ( not that it matters to the warranty company). I was quoted through USAA $3,600, 3 years 100K, $2,400, 2years 100K, $1,300, 1 year, 100K. No deductibles and it covers everything including "high tech electronics". It does not cover the usual stuff, rotors, struts, etc. I am not sure what is required, if anything for membership and the military connection. I'm probably going to go with the 3 year and I won't come close to 100K.
My indie told me the 3 headbolt jobs he has done preemptively have been around $3,500. I look at it that if the headbolts go, I'm covered, if not something else will probably happen and it is a good safety net.
Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I called USAA, I have them as well. Didn't know they offered extended warranties. Quoted me about the same pricing but mileage was only 36 for 3 year, not 100. They must like you better! The no deductible is nice. Definitely going with that.
