PLEASE HELP!! Trunk partition panel broken, top won't go down

Hello everyone,

I have a 2005 CLK55 convertible and I accidentally broke the partition panel in the trunk (the piece of plastic that is used for dividing the convertible top and the rest of the trunk space), so now the top won't go down and it gives me the error message "please close the trunk partitioner". Since the partition panel is broken, there's no way i can close it. Is there any way that I can fool the car and make it think that the partition is closed?

Thanks in advance!!

Eric

I have a w208, however I fooled mine by zip tying the pressure switch into thinking the partition was closed.

Check around the slider for the switch.

Thank you so much for the help!! So I just used the Gorilla tape to tie the switch to the closed mode, and the top opens and closes with no problem!!

Just remember not to put anything fragile under the boot hatch.

Cheers

I have had it like this for years. got tired of forgetting to close the partition. Just remember to watch the height when packing things in there.
