Help for Temp Oil issue on CLK63 non BS
I know the issue is well known on Mk2 C63 and the solution is package 44O, but for a CLK 63 (non BS) I did not find anything.
When I track my car and the the weather is warm, my oil temp raise up to 135°C and the gear box seems to go in secured mode because I lost the manual mode. I need to let the oil temp decrease under 130°C and restart the engine to retore manual mode.
I think the oil cooling system need to be improve.
The oil cooler seems to be the same between CLK 63 and CLK 63 BS (checked via EPC) except the extra intercooler in front left wing/bumper, but I don't think it can be retrofit in regular bumper. It is ?
Are the C63 BS or the 44O package intercooler more performant ? And can they be retrofit to CLK 63 ? Or another solution with a third party intercooler to advise ?
Best regards.

Perhaps an idea of the cause of this oil temp issue.
I check today and even with oil temp at 112°C, the blower [230]of the oil cooler in the right wing/bumper is not active. Is it normal.
I check with the star diag and I can activate/desactive it but I was not able to find in WIS or other documentation when (temp) this blower had to start ?
Perhaps my problem is just the non activation of this blower ?
Thanks for help

MBWorld Fanatic!
Perhaps a more track friendly oil might help with temps? Just my 2 centivos...
Pretty sure the OEM stuff really isn't up to the task for track purposes...especially in your hot area.
FWIW, I run/ran Redline in my 500E, been many years since it was on track but that oil was so much better than even new/fresh OEM branded oil. Totally different rides I know but...

Some update.
The blower is functional if temp oil is above 120°C.
First I used Mobil 1 0W40 but since 2 services I use Petronas (MB oil for AMG) and since the oil temps was 5 or 6°C bellow than with the Mobil 1.
I think I will try to clean my intercoolers that seem to need it. It can not be worst
