Anyone build a custom audio setup?
I'm thinking about doing a rear seat delete and building my audio setup back there instead of the trunk. i don't let anyone sit there anyways. Has anyone here done that?
If not, has anyone done a custom trunk setup? Please post pics. Thanks...

I'm planning on putting a 10" sub under the passenger seat..friend did it on his e90 and it came out real nice and saves trunk space...if not going to custom build it into the existing rear trunk carpet like on the sides...1 or 2 10s..nothing crazy

they might actually make a stealth box that fits on the sides of the trunk. I think a couple people have used those here...

Somewhat - I have a JL 12w6 in a custom box fitted to the wheel well (no spare tire on this car anyway) pushed by a JL 500.1, MB Quart Q 216 components in the front powered by a JL 300.2. Both amps are in a custom amp rack that sits on the ledge just below the convertible top partition.
I'd take photos but the trunk is still all apart from the last time it was in the shop.

I had a custom sub/amp custom built in the trunk. It sits flush up against the driver side opening if you were to put down the seats. He mounted it so it wont become dislodged if I do some spirited driving. I can take some pics if you like. The pass thru with the sub is great!
I've also seen custom setups on here they build a custom setup on the left and right wheel well openings.

2001 CLK55 AMG
In my w208, I recently put in Focal KRX2's in the front doors and Hertz hi energy coax in the rear deck. Running the interiors off of a JL 300/4 and my two JL 12W6's off of JL 1200/1. Required a lot of modification

I saw a real nice clk63 for sale on ebay with a full audison system. Forgot to save pictures. He had 2 amps in each rear seat area in carbon fiber casing along with a sub in the center divider the enclosure was all CF..
This was on sale on this Forum a while back

I finally got this done. I posted in my build thread, but to close off this thread I'll put it here too. I had it done by BPAutosound in Buena Park Ca.
2 P30F Flax subs
PS165FX Flax components
PC165 coaxial
Focal Performance Digital FPD 900.1 sub amp
Focal Performance Digital FPD 600.4 amp
run by my Kenwood Excelon dnx8120
Audio build was done by BP autosound in Buena Park, CA. http://www.bpautosound.com
Wanted to delete the rear seat and do the setup back there instead of in the trunk:
red ambient lighting
Kenwood Excelon DNX8120
Front door speakers
Love the Focal slogan:
