anyone gone from a regular CLK to a 55?
I use to have a 2000 CLK430 Convertible and had it for 3 years and really liked it and am looking at getting a 2002 CLK55 and have never driven one. Anyone gone from a normal CLK to a 55 and if so did it feel like it had much more power and if so what else? They seem to be somewhat affordable.
By the way I thought I might want a 2001 or 2002 E55 but after driving two of them I really did not like the car. The power was good but it just did not handle very well.

Not sure if this counts, but I went from a 1999 CLK430 to a 2003 CLK55.
Everything about the AMG is better! The sound, the feel, the power.
You can't go wrong!

I too went from a 01 430 to an 03 55 and liked the car a lot. The pillar-less look is great. I did like the feel of the interior and looks of the 430 though.

Went from a 1998 SL500 Sport to 2004 CLK55 AMG cabriolet. Night and day difference. The AMG is the way to go!!!!!!!

I drove new W208 430 and 55 coupes back to back at Willow Springs Raceway 15 years ago. We had them both for about 5 hours IIRC and neither car failed. Aside from the obvious power increase, the 55 has much better brakes and less body roll.
