clk63 non bs code for intake camshaft open circuit ??
Hey all ,
I am new to mbworld , I have recently purchased a 2007 clk63 cabriolet from a friend of mine and I must say i love the car . My CEL has came on and the description of the code is something like intake camshaft solenoid open circuit . I do not have the code number unfortunately . I am wondering if anyone has came across this in the past and what the have done to resolve it . I am located in Long Island NY . I tried to go into my local mb dealership and talk to the service advisor who had helped me in the past but they showed no interest in helping me out .I am currently going to a great mechanic as well but he told me if the care was to come down with major issues he would be unable to help me . I have also seen that people have changed the "magnets" or something to do with the sensor but I am unsure if that will resolve my issue . I am not a mechanic or DIYer for the car but if someone can lead me in a direction it would be highly appreciated !!!
Thanks in advance ,
GT

So , I picked up the car tonight and the CEL was off . I spoke with my mechanic this afternoon he said he went over wiring and everything was fine . There was not an open circuit current . So he hooked everything back up and cleared the fault , drove around and the light stayed off . Finally I thought it was a glitch , but on the ride home the light came back on . I don't know if I should go to the stealer ?? I looked back at previous service records from the previous owner and I saw they changed both camshaft valves on the right side part number 156-050-14-65 The previous code I has was for the left side . Should I just change both camshaft valves for the left . Open to opinions ! Thanks

I believe she said mcu I think she said motor control unit . Or emcu . Now you have me second guessing myself . Haha . Good thing is my extend warranty is picking the tab up . She said the piece has to be made to order by the vin of the vehicle . Maybe that is some help
