I am at 84k miles and probably need a tune up. Any thoughts about replacement spark plugs/wires? Any idiosyncrasy?

Yes, I put in "tune up" and got a bunch of threads talking about other things (?). Maybe I'll search a different wording.

Yes replace them. A lot of people will say not to bother with the leads but i always replace them too. As mentioned above, there are countless threads on it. Look on the w209 and C32/C55 forums also. Oh and buy the 17mm Mercedes boot removal tool, makes it much easier.

No problem. I also have a link in my signature below for when i did it on my old C32. The CLK is the same just 4 extra spark plugs needed. Leads get Oem Bosch from ebay. Use laser iridium or some other decent plugs so you don't need to replace them again for 80,000 miles.

Sorry I did not mean to be rude but this has been asked over and over. If you search once and get nothing try chaining your wording also you can google (MBworld and your question) you will get a bunch of answers.
