Just picked up a nice CLK63 cabrio non-BS and want to upgrade the shift gate and knob to use the Black Series pieces.


Anyone done this already? Do the parts easily interchange?

It will fit, although i'm not sure what the part numbers are. I've pulled my shifter gate out and its just clipped in.

The actual shifter i'm not sure about as I don't know if you would need to change that, or just change the shift knob.

You can always buy the entire surround and starter button (if you have keyless go on your shifter), as that will clip into your console.

I did it on my C55 knob and gate had to cut the stem and thread it.
brush is not available
Gate and knob will be about 900.

$900 to upgrade a long discontinued model is in my view extreme....If there is an aftermarket supplier out there who can fab these up reasonably priced I think they would go like hotcakes.

I'm slap waiting for someone to make an aftermarket CLKBS.
Imagine what that would sell like.
These parts are limited for a reason when ever someone makes it
its usually never the same.
