W209 CLK55 M113k build thread
So, unfortunately the m113 finally gave out after being supercharged for a while. I'm doing an M113k swap and this will be my build thread. I just ordered the engine. After the 1st I will start tearing out the stock engine and posting many pictures. I'm super excited. This car will be a BEAST. Stay tuned people!

the stock engine was supercharged aswell, I sprung a huge vacuum leak under full load and went very lean. the result was a dead cylinder. (no 8) as far as electronics I purchased a used ecu from an 04 e55. I have a company that will clear the das and vin for me so it can be recoded to my car. hopefully everything will work as planned.

Nice man! This will be one exciting build. W209 + M113K should have come from the factory!
Will you be doing any mods to the M113K engine?
Also, is there anything you need to do other than engine and ECU?

Hopefully just the engine and ecu as far as electronics go. And yes, I plan on full bolt ons, (77mm clutch less SC pulley, 82mm tb, headers) then I plan on kleemann cams, and methanol injection

Got the engine and trans out today. Engine arrived. In great condition. I just sent the used e55 ecu out to cleared and unlocked. I took a bunch of pics today as I was pulling everything out. I will upload them as soon as possible, tomorrow the m113k will set in, and everything else put back together.

So today I got the engine ready for drop in. I had to modify the engine harness slightly, I also ran an auxiliary oil cooler to accommodate my chassis. My ecu should arrive tomorrow ready to be coded. I took care of the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, transfered over my magneticore wires, replaced the rear main seal and transfered over the alternator, ac compressor, and power steering pump. Stay tuned for more updates tomorrow
Yes i know i have the wrong ac compressor on the engine. I bought the right one and will be here tomorrow.
The pink conector is from the old harness.
The old engine coming out
All cleaned up now looking clean. This was before i cleaned it

Is it viable or even safe to hook the engine with bolts mounting through the intake bolt holes on the cylinder heads on 4 points like you guys have? Isn't there another place to fit a chain or sling or something else?

The are two hook points, on is bolted to the intake like the picture. The other it in the front. Much easier and still a safe way to pull the engine by using the intake bolt holes

Perfect and also see my pictures of the two different harness connectors, do you happen to know what wires need to be soldered together? I can't seem to find a diagram on the two. Here's another pic for clarification
They both have 8 wires. The pins however are reversed from each other

Well, it's almost done. I figured out the harness issue. I got home late tonight and didn't have much time to upload photos, and updates. I will write it all up tomorrow. For now here is a picture of it sitting in the car
