bump
I have run across threads and pieces of information here and there.
one says there is a signal wire sent from the ecall to the radio. I have seen a diagram stating there are 3 interface wires from the ecall to the radio. the 2 d2b cables and a third wire on pin 23 but doesn't say what it is or whether or not i just need to cut it or simulate a reference signal.
I have seen other information that states all the ecall does is mute the amp and not the radio and i just need to jump a connection from power to remote; however i do not know exactly what is what as all the information is vague.
I intend to have the ecall disabled but until I can make that happen I need a temporary solution.
Can anyone help me with this?

there is a local shop that will disable the teleaid via star scanner but at this very moment disposable income is limited. I have heard it is just a wiring issue to "trick" the radio but the info I have is vague. I am confortable with making the adjustments is the instructions are solid.
let me ask you this: from what I gather there is a reference signal sent to the radio from the teleaid module, otherwise the radio would work when I unplugged the module bc there would be no signal. Do you know if it is 12v or 5v?
all of this is temporary. first i will delete the teleaid then get an aftermarket double din deck soon after.

No, But I have heard of them.
I travel to Maitland once in a while normally on the weekends to visit friends.
It is old stomping grounds when it was mostly forest and no I-4.

Yes I remember those days of Maitland, when you had to take Lee Rd off I4, no Maitland exit, no Maitland Blvd. Who do you use in your end of town?

We are hijacking this thread temporarily I hope.
I do all the work myself except machine work and upholstry.
ASE Master interned @ Gately VW Winter Park and retired the trade working for an indy. MB, Volvo, BMW, Porsche.
The owner recently payed me a visit to express gratitude and discuss the sale of the shop. I got the twitch but kindly turned him down. I wrenched on cars day and night while my children were growing up.
Now that they are grown up I get to enjoy life with them. without being married to a business. I have my Electronics degree and the work is less labor intense.
I only pay for parts, tires and alignment on occasion.
Pray My ECU never fails but learning much along the way.
All the Best, Gator
