Valentine 1 - hardwire a V1 in a Black Series?
Has anyone on here actually hardwired in Valentine 1 radar detector into their Black Series? I bought their hardwiring kit, and want to make sure to put it in correctly and not damage the car at all.
Any help is appreciated.

I have the V1 hardwired in my Black, using the SAVVY accessory (part #20220)

for $69, you don't have to search and splice into your car's wiring. Plugs right into the OBD II port under the steering wheel area, and has the added benefit of muting the alert sound under a set speed (I left mine at the default 35 mph).
You can run the power cord under the dash from the OBD II port, attaching it using the clips provided, up to the A-pillar. You first pull out the moulding that seals the interior A-pillar cover, and the cover just pops off as it is clipped onto the A-pillar. Run the power cord inside the cover, and tuck it in under the front edge of the headliner. I mounted the V1 on the driver's side of the rear view mirror, using the suction cup mount.
The V1 now powers on when I start the engine, no need to manually press the power button on the unit every time.
This is completely reversible and will not harm your Black in any way.
