New car is sitting in Baltimore...

My 2014 CLS5504 is sitting in Baltimore waiting for MB to release it. Dealer says could be 2 weeks, could be 2 months. Nobody knows when they will release the 2014 models. RATS!! It's built, it's here, and I can't have it! Double RATS!!

Congrats I think ! Tell us when you get it. BTW, can you ask your salesperson if the 2014 CLS550C4 has rear seat A/c controls and fan speed controllers ? The 2013 and 2012s do not but I saw a 2014 CLS63 at the NY Autoshow and it had the rear seat a/c controls and fan speed controls. I heard from the MB staff there that the 2014 CLS550s would have it so it would be nice if it was true.

You're kidding about the technical questions right? Remember this was the guy I had to explain distronic to. If I ever get the thing I'll let you know.

OK got some more info on the 2014 CLS550s - no rear seat A/c controls. Too bad - so this was unique to the 2014 CLS63 I saw at the NY Autoshow. But there is supposed to be some new steering mechanism if you get the 4matic version of the CLS 550.

And pricing seems to be out for the 2014 CLSs - base price up about $100 or so but the P1 package price dropped by the same amount. So as long as you get P1 ( like who does not ???), then effectively your MSRP is pretty much the same as the 2013s.

Well, riddle me this Batman...in the "New CLS but no reverse camera guidelines" thread someone who ordered a CLS in Jan just took delivery. Since I ordered mine in Dec, I can expect delivery two weeks ago. Or not. I'm post graduate trained but I don't understand the MB new car delivery program.

I'm just saying...

They purposely delay newer cars, otherwise no one would buy the older models (unless there is some special deal on them, which would end up with less profit for them)

That I understand. The CLS I referred to was ordered in Jan and had to be a 2014 (you couldn't order a 2013 at that point) and the owner has it. Mine was ordered weeks earlier (also a 2014) and it is nowhere in sight. THAT'S what I don't understand. Logic would dictate...but I digress.

Ah, now I see your frustration. Yeah, that makes no sense why you would not be "allowed" to get your car. I had to wait for 2 weeks for my car and I barely stayed sane...
