RRS Supercharged and CLS550 (W218)
I personally like the Meisterschaft GTC Exhaust. I think it produces the best sound for our cars, but cost an arm and a leg. IMO, an exhaust system will yield an insignificant HP gain on it's own unless paired with larger headers, etc. If you're looking for a HP gain, an ECU tune would be your best bet and best bang for the $$$. From my research, I believe you will gain anywhere from 80-100 HP depending on the tuner for roughly $2k.....not too bad for such a large HP gain.

Don't get me wrong in no way am i saying Renntech is bad b/c their products come highly recommended but their prices are off the charts & I never understood why!

elijah you couldnt have been more inaccurate in your statement. renntech is not a lot of $$ if you think it is a lot you are simply forgetting what we are talking about.

everything on a new cls cost alot of money. amg over 550 is 20k but for 5k you could come pretty damn close...

we are not talking about hondas here. Rims on a cls are at least 10k. i cracked my headline a new one was 4,200.

so when you think about it renntech is very cheap.

I've never driven a Honda, only owned German cars so trust me when I say I've been here long enough and have owned enough MBs as well as AMG to know that Renntech products are always priced above their competition.

Anyway I did not come here to hijack the OPs thread, was merely stating a simple fact.

Please post a video or soundclip of your renntech exhaust.

elijah

in no way did i mean to imply you are a honda driver(nothing wrong with hondas) im just stating the obvious about expensive german cars.

with that being said if anyone thinks renntech is a lot of $$ i suggest you call up brabus. ecu tune 10k, amg exhaust for a 550 10k... IMO i think brabus is a bit over prices. however some might say you pay for what you get.

anyways I will create an exhaust thread in next day or so so that everyone can upload and we can compare!

But in the video Renntech post on youtube, the sound of that cls550 is not deep and wonderful. Did you see that vedio? I hope you can post your exhaust sound.

I believe it's b/c its just renntech mufflers and not a full exhaust. IMO if you want a deep growl you need to go with aftermarket downpipes + full exhaust. Maybe straight pipes but that be over the top
