Brake replacement

Dealership voluntarily has agreed to replace both the front pads and rotors on my car. Just hit 9k miles but the brakes have been pulsating since about 3k miles on the clock.

My question is, will they replaced with the same versions and will eventually have the problem all over down the road, or has MB upgraded the rotors to prevent this from happening?

Thanks

Ed

I have a 2014 as well and my brakes are all good - I am nearly at 9k miles. Hope you just had a bad batch. And the new parts from a different batch will help you.

Thanks OBP. I hope that is the case. I hate warped brakes. Takes away the new car feel.

MB brake warranty is 12,000 miles/ 1 year (whichever comes first). EPC shows front pads part # is replaced to current 0074207320 usually indicating modification however, discs remain the same – unchanged 0004211712.

Thanks for the great info.

Let me ask, is this typical for MB for the rotors to warp?

Unfortunately yes, but for odd reason original discs installed on assembly line at factory are problematic once replaced, replacement more times than not are fine.
