bluetooth kit installed!
hey guys:
i got the Parrot CK3000 bluetooth phone kit installed today at Custom Car Stereo in Houston (as well as getting my V1 hardwired). it took them about 4 hours but the kit works great! i was really nervous about how it would sound and how unclear i would sound to others when speaking...but all works perfectly. the kit is integrated into the speakers in the car too.
i couldn't find anyone else willing to do the install either because of the fiber optic wiring.
i know there are lots of kits out there, but since I have a Treo 650, i was limited to only a couple of choices, both from Parrot. just thought i'd share.

i got the Parrot CK3000 off of ebay for $125 and the install ran about $350 and took them a little over 4 hours and another 5 minutes to pair my phone and to get everything working together properly.
the Parrot ID Key is "1234" and you must restart both the phone and the car after pairing for them to work.
The V1 is placed to the left of my rear view mirror. the wire goes into the roof, but I have no idea where they actually wired it to. I just gave them the V1 with the hardwire kit which came with it and they just did it.

here are some pics from my phone (excuse the quality).
the first is where they had placed it, but the 2nd pic is where i moved it to so I could use the sun visor (it would stop half way otherwise).

Just had my Parrot ck3100 kit installed into my cls500. They actually did a pretty nice job, and threw the lcd in the ashtray. I'll post pictures later on tonight, it was a pretty tough job having to rig the speakers to work.

Im just waiting for my chrome wheels to arrive tomorrow to post pics. Let me ask you a question, with your V1. Did you have the installers use the hard wire kit from v1, or did they just rig it up some other way.

Parrot Software Update
Don't know if this helps anyone.
Newbie to this bluetooth tech so while googling for info on these Parrot kits, came across a June software update on this site:
