Baby Seat in the CLS
Hello everyone,
Just wondering if a baby seat is possible in the CLS?
I see there is the middle console in the back seats...any issues with this?

I actually bought mine because i needed 4 doors for a baby on the way. It didn't look like there would be any issues with a baby seat. It also has the anchors on both sides for a child seat. But if you and your wife are real tall, you might want to double check that having the seats back won't interfere with the child seat.
btw: this would be rare that i would have the my kid in my car. 95% of the time he'll be riding center seat in the Q7. Think i read the center seat is the safest for a baby seat location.

I've got a baby seat in mine and have no issues other than it being a bit tight in for the front passenger because you might have to have the front seat more forward to leave leg room for youre kid if they're big.

I have the black recaro baby seat in the rear of my CLS550 - It fits perfectly, and does have the anchor points, no problem at all. Thats why I got the car, because it looks great, like a sports coupe but has 4 doors so I can get in and get my baby in and out. We had a porsche cayenne, but traded it in for the CLS - because the cls has a huge trunk. No need for an suv really

It depends. If you have a stroller/car seat system, then you can use the one that comes with it. Although I think I would put a towel down or something, because I noticed that my car seat leaves an indentation. The recaro is heavily padded, the most padded car seat out there I've seen. And its sporty in black, so thats what I got for my daughter.

2016 CLS550
I have a 16' CLS550 that will be delivered soon. Does anyone have any experience with the Orbit G3 Toddler (convertible) seat in the back of a CLS550/CLS400? Or in the back of any car?
The Orbit G3 is compelling because while the seat is rear-facing the seat can then rotate 90 degrees so that you can take the child in and out easier.
Below are some links and pictures.
Does anyone have any experience or any thoughts/concerns over such a seat (perhaps I havent thought of something)?

even though im interested in the toddler seat, here is a picture of the infant seat for reference

That's pretty clever. I'm done with kids, but maybe I'll have another one just for an excuse to buy that.

The CLS has a slant seating. So when you place the Orbit base in the back seat, the car seat is sitting more forward.
I don't like the fact that my 9 month is sitting more forward because when he falls asleep, sometimes his head will tilt forward.
The seat is not a flat surface causing the base to be slanted.
