Upgrade Navigation 2009 CLS550

Has anyone upgraded the navigation DVD on their 2009 CLS? I asked the dealer and he said there is a certain charge to do it and they can replace the DVD in the trunk with a new one.
I wanted to check if the upgraded navigation has spoken names for local streets. as far as I have noticed the current one has only spoken highway names but not local roads.

I'm taking delivery of an '08, and want to update the Nav DVD myself. I've found that I can get onefor 2012 from Navteq. Good Idea? or no...

There are really limited choices that you will have. Either buy it directly from the dealer for roughly $300 or go directly to Nav-Teq to order it.

looks like this is compatible with upto 2008 CLS. any ideas of how I can upgrade the 2009 CLS?

They have them for all years. Try this one. Or you can start at the top and go through the various selections for any make/model/year they support.

BTW, in 2009 it's not a DVD that goes in the trunk - the DVD is used to copy to the built in HDD.
