2006 CLS500 - Iridium Silver w/ AMG Sportline
Thumbs up Got Eurocharged this weekend

Got a great SEMA deal on an ECU tune over the weekend. Nice improvement. The stock power curve is strong, but very smooth and linear. The Eurocharged curve is more aggressive. Now when you kick the tranny down, it feels like there is a more of a surge in power, getting into the meat of the power more quickly. For the low cost, a nice improvement. And, when I asked about a TCU tune, the answer was, "Save your money. You won't see too much from that." I had cash in hand, so I appreciate the honesty. I'll report back as I put more mileage on the tune. I understand that it needs 100+ miles car to fully adjust to the tune.

Couldn't help myself. I had to go on a good shakedown run. Botttom-line: great tune! I never got too much rubber out of the hole. Now, with ESP off, bury the throttle and look back at your tire patches. Not sure what it xlates to on the dyno, but the seat dyno is sending a grin signal to my lips.

Not "selling" me on the TCU tune that I was willing to pay for speaks volumes in my book.

What was their reason for not recommending the tcu? I was told the exact opposite by EC and Vlad at ASP, which Vlad has it on his 55k and said it changes the characterics of the car.
